Our gut, aka "the second brain," is host to trillions of microbes, outnumbering our human cells 10 to 1. Leading scientific research shows that the ratio of beneficial to harmful bacteria in our gut significantly influences the state of our physical, mental, and emotional health. Unfortunately, our modern lifestyle and diet has threatened the livelihood of these very helpful colonies of friendly bacteria, whose purpose is to keep us functional and healthy. Without the proper intervention, these little guys cannot grow back on their own, which creates the stage for various health issues and disease.
